Oviedo & Winter Springs Boys Lacrosse Program
OWLS Youth Lacrosse offers a boys youth lacrosse program serving Oviedo, Winter Springs, and the surrounding Seminole County area. Our program introduces young athletes to one of the fastest growing sports in the United States while building strong fundamentals, teamwork, and confidence.
Whether your son is trying lacrosse for the first time or preparing for competitive middle school and high school play, OWLS provides a structured environment focused on skill development and sportsmanship.
Our teams follow the age divisions recommended by USA Lacrosse to ensure proper development and competitive balance.
Boys Youth Lacrosse Age Divisions
- 8U Boys Lacrosse (Ages 6-7): Players are introduced to basic stick skills, passing, catching, and ground balls while learning the fundamentals of the game.
- 10U Boys Lacrosse (Ages 8-9): Athletes continue developing stick skills while learning offensive and defensive positioning and beginning structured gameplay.
- 12U Boys Lacrosse (Ages 10-11): Players develop stronger game awareness, transition play, and team strategy while building speed and confidence.
- 14U Boys Lacrosse (Ages 12-13): This division prepares athletes for the next level of play with advanced concepts, full-field strategy, and position-specific development.
Our boys program serves as a feeder system for Oviedo and Winter Springs middle school and high school lacrosse programs.
Boys Fall Lacrosse Season
The Fall Boys Lacrosse Season in Oviedo and Winter Springs focuses on player development and skill building.
During fall, players work on:
- Stick skills and shooting mechanics
- Conditioning and agility
- Game fundamentals
- Scrimmages and developmental play days
Fall lacrosse is ideal for new players learning the game and returning athletes preparing for the spring competitive season.
Boys Spring Lacrosse Season
The Spring Boys Lacrosse Season is the primary competitive season.
Players participate in:
- Weekly team practices
- Competitive league games
- Matchups with other Central Florida youth lacrosse programs
- End-of-season tournaments
Spring season focuses on team strategy, game performance, and competitive development.
